I'm back with more!!!

(Read all the way down for a polymer clay tutorial)

Hello. I've been away for far too long. Its been crazy this past months. But I finally finished my portfolio, done with the PTM and I have only about two weeks to the end of the term. Also I quit my job and have at least one and a half months of break. So maybe I'll be able to work on my crafts more.

Although I have been away for a long time, I did work on more polymer clay charms. They are mostly made to be hung on bags or phone. I will show some pictures but more can be found at my Etsy shop.

These are some animals and other kinds like the bouquet and Rapunzal. Rapunzal is my favourite so far then it would be the rabbit. I think I did a not bad job on the bouquet but the details did drive a little crazy. The mushroom was actually one of my very first creations when i started on polymer clay but I decided to make a new and modified the eyes. I used beads last time for the eyes but now the eyes are all also made from clay.

Made some cupcakes inspired from mickey mouse and winnie the pooh. I think they look adorable. There's another scrump donut at the top which someone already bought from me. The macaroons and strawberries in the basket are one of my favourites as well. Actually learn the basket from one youtuber called sabyloves. The teddy bear is flatback which I decided to try instead of always making them round.

I have a few more charms that I made which can be seen at my etscy shop. I am still waiting to find a good bazaar to sell my creations. Maad seems to ba good place to do so, I might get a place there during the hols. WIll blog more about it if I decide to.

Tony tony chopper's hat

polymer clay tutorial

This will be the first tutorial that I do and I decided to make tony tony chopper's hat from one piece.

Its really simple to do so Let's get started!

Time: 5-10 minutes
Tools needed: Small cutter
                        A needle tool
Pink and white clay (or any colour you want)
                        Liquid sculpey (Optional)
                        Glaze (Optional),
                        Brush (Optional)
                        An eye pin.

You will need to spilt the clay in to two because there will be two parts in the hat. One for the top part and one for the bottom.

Take one ball of clay and roll the bottom part so that the top will be bigger that the bottom. Take your time to roll this part.

Press the top and bottom down so that it will be flat at both ends. Be gentle at this part you don't want to press to much.

The top part of the hat should look like this. See how the upper part of the clay is slightly bigger than the lower part. Both ends should also be flat.

Now, take the other ball of clay and flatten it gently. It has to be a circle. If the circle is to big or thick just take some clay out.

Place the top part of the hat on the circle. Add a little bit of liquid sculpy so that it can stick better but this is totally optional.

We will now do the cross on the hat. Take a white piece of clay and flatten it. Don't make it do because it might be difficult to cut later.

Using the needle tool outline the cross that you want on the white piece of clay. Don't press to hard in case you do it wrongly you can easily redo it by rubbing the clay lightly.

Using the small cutter like the one in the above picture, cut of the cross. Be patience at this point cause you don't wan to ruin it now.

Gently place the cross on the hat, add a bit of liquid sculpey if you want to.

Place the eye pin into the clay. Bake the clay in the oven. Follow the instructions on your clay packaging to bake it. Let it cool after it is done baking. I suggesst making a few creations before baking cause it saves alot of time and electricity :).

You can choose whether you want to glaze it but it gives a much more shiny and clear finish. Add a bit of super glue to the eyepin to secure it.

And you're done!

I hope this tutorial is easy to follow and you guys will have lots of fun making it. Do tell me if there's any areas I can improve on or if you have tried making your own do tell me!

Donuts for sale!!!

I love eating donuts. Sadly we never have those small little pop in your mouth donuts. :(
I was browsing through the internet and saw different donuts which looked so good! SO, SO, SO, I thought to myself, why not make mini donuts out of clay! I can make them into earrings, ear studs, bracelets and rings!

I went into my room took my clay and tools and started working on it. I started with the bottom then the glaze and finally some toppings! So here are some of the donuts that I made.

I LOVE THIS! I think I mixed the colours pretty well. Yeah I love colourful stuff.

The pictures above are all earrings and earstuds. But I Think they look good to eat besides the one with the rhinestone cause its shiny. Have you ever eaten shiny food before? Cause I don't think I've seen one before.

There are some that i made with whipped cream too:

I have them in strawberries, blue icecream and miniature donut which I bought.

All this are for sale! You can head down to my facebook page and click on donuts collection!HutofPresents

Always the sides

There's this thing that I have notice lately. All the kpop groups that I like, the one I like most in the group seem to always shave the side of their heads. You the kind where one side has hair while the other doesn't. And I can prove it okay. It's not just one or two of them.

So first it was Shinee's Key, He started out looking like this:

Then he decided to shave the side of his hair  in their lucifer album and he looked like this:

Seriously when I saw this no matter how much I like him i couldn't bring myself to like or compliment the hair and what is that pink colour thing between his shaven head and hair. Thank goodness it looks normal now. Loving their new song.

The next Idol is mir from mblaq. Debut photo:

And then it becomes like this:

It looks exactly the same just only his is the other side.Just as I thought it was too much of a coincidence, TOP from big bang did the same thing and he happen to be my bias in the group.

Tell me why they have to shave the side of their heads and so similar and they have to be the one I like in the group. I mean whats with the coincidence and I prefer his his like before. Wow, Fantastic baby

I just can't like this hair thing. Which brings me to my next point, why does fans like to compliment their idols at the certain things that they wear and do when obviously it doesn't look nice on them or it just seems wrong and they try to defend them which ends up in quarrals that you see on youtube and forums. Tell the idols the truth, they are not going to hate you for that (sometimes I think they agreed with you but can;t do anything cause their companies did it for them) unless your like one of those mean haters who are CONSTANLY traumatising them although they are doing great. Buzz off nobody likes you either.

Im gonna end this post with one last idol SERIOUSLY. I thought TOP was the last one.
B1A4 Baro
Beautiful target

But he doesn't look that bad cause it's not fully shaven. Right?

Cabochons from sophie and toffee

The cabochons use for the things I make to sell on my shop came from a place called Sophieandtoffee (http://www.sophieandtoffee.com). This place sells lots of cute cabochons which are really difficult to find at craft stalls outside.

I bought more from them not to long ago but never really found the time to make anything. I finally found time today and decide to make a photoframe.

Before I show the frame I made, here are some cabochons that I bought.

Aren't this cute! I bought lots of ice cream from them. I love it. Spot the chanel ice cream cone. Loves the words too and some a bigger then I expected but that's good right.

A picture on the planning process. Placed a newspaper below so that I won't messed up my table with any whipped cream or cutting the fimo canes. The frame is from ikea and this is the planning process I take before  working on it. Choosing the cabochons and planning where you want this and that to place. Wouldn't want to mess up later. Some of the cabochons were bought previously in other orders also from Sophie and Toffee.

After deciding on the placing of each cabochons. It's now time to work on the whipped cream. After many practises I realise it is important to work slowly with the whipped cream as you want a consistant flow of the cream for them to look nice. I'm super satisfied with this try.

This is the final product now i just have to wait for the whipped cream to dry and I'm super done. I just love how a few cabochons can make a simple plain frame turn of so ridiculously cute!

My blog shop

I have been having a blogshop for quite sometime now but I have never seriously got down to doing anything at all. It's called Hut of presents which the link can be found at the side.

I got the name Hut of Presents after brainstorming with my sis and finally decided on that name. Mainly, I wanted to sell handmade stuff that I really love to do as well as some supplies from what I make. So basically, my shop name means that I want people to find or be able to create presents from my little hut. It also sound like Heart of presents which means presents are made from the heart.

I'm in the process of creating a new webpage using a different website. creating everyhing from scratch. It doesnt look like thse professional sites where they hire designers to design for them (cause I don't have the money) but its pleasing to the eyes. Here's a preview of the banner I made for my shop.

I love it!!! My shop is half way done can't wait to complete it!!!
