Flea: Every Little Thing (public garden)

Hey all! Sorry for the super lack of updates. Work has been really crazy and when that was done, I was busy preparing for my next flea! Yes, we will be having another booth with Every little thing Market. The previous flea was a success so I'm really excited for this one.

I will just be showing you some pictures of a few things that you can find but only a few cause I'm still busy with preparations.

First up would be this lovely bracelets! They are adjustable and all one of a kind. The colours this time are much brighter to welcome our sunny season!

Next up I'm launching new accessories made of wire. All of them are one of a kind as well. This is the first set of wire accessories that I made fully from scratch! Come down, take a look and bring them home. Hey, No one will have the same as you.

DIY: Simple Friendship bracelet

Today, I'm going to show you how to make this really simple bracelet. As long as you know how to braid, its going to be a piece of cake. Let's start this DIY!!!

 Things you need: Pincer clasp
                              String (Two colours)
                              Jump ring
                              Chain
                              Pilers
Time: 5-10 minutes

 First, using the chain, wrapped it round your wrist twice and cut it.

 Measure the string to be the same length as the chain.

 Cut 5 of each colour.

 Put them togther and tie a knot. Make sure the chain is sticking out.

 Tape the top down so it won't move around when you are braiding.

 Spilt them into three parts....

 And start braiding just like how you would do for your hair.:)

 As you braid, measure to ensure that it fits your wrist the way you want it to be.

 Tie a knot at the place you have stop braiding.

 Cut off the excess string.

Measure the where you should cut the chain using your wrist and how big you want your bracelet to be.

 Cut the excess chain.

 Add the pincer clasp at one end using a jump ring.

 Add a ring at the other side. And your done!

Go and and make many different colours. Mix and match your own to suit your taste! This bracelet is simple and you can layer them with as many bracelets as possible with different colour. Now who's going to say you have no colour in your life!

I just started work which explains why I haven't posted as often. It's a new place, I'm still awkward but I'll try my best. I am please with the place as for now and it's near my home too with meals provide so I don't have much to complain about.

2011 and 2012 hasn't been a very good year for me so I really hope 2013 will be good. I'm not asking for much. Just everyone around me to stay safe and healthy, I'll do well in my job and hopefully the world will become a better place. Let's all have a better year yeah! Happy new year!!!

DIY:V bracelet

I'm going to show you how to do this V bracelet. I'm calling it V bracelets cause it looks like there are many V's on the bracelet. I will be doing this differently. Instead of using cords like the ones in the picture, I will be using threads. Let's get started!

 Things you need: Threads (Two colours)
                              Chain
                              Pincer clasp
                              Jump rings
                              Pliers

First off you will want to measure the length of the chain and make sure its fits you. I suggest cutting it slightly bigger so it won't be too tight and it will be easier for you when you have to wear it yourself.

Add on the clasp using the pliers and the jump ring.



Cut four equal lengths of one colour thread. The length of the thread has to be around two and a half times the length of your chain. Note: If you only want to use one colour then the thread has to be four times the length of the chain.

Do the same for the other colour and place them together.

Tie a knot like this. (Skip this part if your are only using one colour.)

Wrap the ends with scotch tape so it will be easier when you thread it through the chain.

Start of with the purple thread being thread in the purple thread will then have to be on top the pink thread. Thread on the right has to be on top the thread on the left.



Then thread to pink thread from below the chain into the same hole as the purple thread.

Thereafter, thread the pink thread through the hole again from the bottom. This whole process will be threading from the bottom.

Remember the right thread has to be on top the left thread. Thread the purple thread through the same hole as the pink thread.

Continue doing threading until the end and the and knot.

See how I left one hoop and tied the knot in the centre.

 Cut off the excess string.

Now you are done. Both is done using the same method only different materials. But they both have a different look.

If you want to do the dark blue one, just get this cord instead. If you are from Singapore, you can get this at Chinatown at a place called Shino beads for 40 cents.

To add on to this bracelet, I added a small charm to it. Both styles are equally nice. Be creative with the colour. you can us more than two colours. All you have to do is cut different colour threads and just make sure you have to same number of threads at both sides to thread.

 

Bracelets with love

I made a couple of bracelets recently with the things that I got in my craft haul. I'm not going to say any more but show you pictures instead which I think you guys would prefer.

These bracelets are really simple and because they are thin, it's really nice when you wear a couple of different colours together.

This bracelet has different charms hanging and I match the colours to be similar with each other. This has a little bohemian style to it. What do you think? I saw some pics online so I tried making one myself.

I made use of beads this time round. I actually learn this from a tutorial on YouTube. I added a little heart button as the "hook" for the bracelet.

I simply love this! I saw this kind of styles online so I had to do it. I actually made mistakes but you can't see it right? Not bad for the first time.

I like the colour of the beads in this one. This is one of the few I made first and was quite frustrating cause I kept getting it wrong at first and had to redo it.

Flower bracelet! I wanted to do a bracelet using the flowers I got and this is what came out. i like how it is but kinda flower girl-ish right?

I been seeing pictures of people wearing like flower crowns so I thought it wouldn't be a bad idea to braid them in the hair like the picture above (Sorry for the blur picture but I cut my hair yesterday and its slightly shorter now). But people have been telling me "Will anyone wear this out?". Will you?
